  The selection here is vast you have to check in multiple places in the store for the same items. Because of the high end merchandise you can easily end up spending more then you wanted, even if you only stick to the sale merchandise. But the Bloomington location is the place to go for sales on quality gear.

  REI is my one stop shop for all things equipment related. I've bought bikes, snowboards, sleeping bags, jackets, you name it. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. It's hard to make a quick trip to REI because I end up getting sucked into all of the stuff they have. The REI brand name items are well priced and great quality! They have all the major brand names, and even some small brands many people haven't heard about. I am a lifetime customer of REI. Amazing place for outdoor gear of all kinds! The feel of the store is very cool as well, and there is a rock climbing wall! The hours are a bit odd for climbing, but it's a lot of fun to climb here. Definitely a higher caliber of store compared to other sporting good places.
